Southern Opera is committed to presenting a world-class mainstream opera production once a year. In 2010 this is Puccini's moving opera Tosca which is on stage for a six-performance season in October at the Isaac Theatre Royal in Christchurch.
In addition, the company will present one smaller work each year.
In May of 2010 this will be Verdi's towering opera 'Aida' which will be performed in Christchurch on one night only as a full concert presentation.
Tosca - the opera that has it all - love, death, manipulation and a final act of tragic deception. This much loved classic is a powerful drama of darkness and beauty.
